News/What's On
A very Happy New Year to all our followers, and fellow singers!
After a nice long break over Christmas and the New Year we're getting ready for another busy year.
Can I just say what a wonderful Christmas party we had, many thanks to everyone who helped to make is so special. I don't think I've laughed so much in ages.
Our new terms starts back on January 24th with Amy Lord our main tutor, who has been working on a lot of contemporary songs lately, we're hoping she'll share some with us, and continue with the very challenging Songbird.
February will see the return of Brendan Taaffe from America for an evening workshop on the 14th. We're delighted to have him back – his songs give us a new energy and are quite a bit different to what we usually do.
Congratulations to Ian Duncan, Glamis. He was the winner of our winter Fundraising quiz.
I'm sorry if some of you found it difficult – it seems so easy when you have the answers in front of you!
Looking further ahead, we're planning on an "Angus Folk Entertains" concert in the summer and we hope to go back to the recording studio later in the year. So a lot of hard work and enjoyment ahead of us.
If your not a member of Angus Folk but would like to come along to any of our classes, please just turn up. All classes are open to everyone and you'll be made very welcome. We're always looking for new members, both sexes! So come along and see what we're all about, your first class is free! We meet in the small hall of the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church in Kirriemuir.
We're really quite a friendly bunch!
Happy Singing,
Angus Folk Committee
